Electric Drive for Bike -what it is?
Each, ordinary bike can be equipped with:
electric motor (hub) implemented into front or rear wheel,
complete controller with thumb accelerator and brake levers
energy source, as batteries placed under the frame, seat or inside containers fixed to front or rear carrier.
charger for batteries recharging (in a car or at home)

We get as a result an environmentally friendly drive to a bicycle, which enables the movement (with or without pedal) with the speed of 40km/h and even over at a distance of 30 km to 60km - depending on: the size of the batteries, the state of roads, weight and the way how the user is driving. The cost of energy at 1 km is less than 1 cent. Electric bike assures a quick and pleasant journey to work, for shopping, you can conduct long trips without much effort, sweat and fatigue, even in the warmest days. It combines the advantages of a bicycle and scooter at any time by giving the opportunity to choose and use the sum of their strengths. It serves also where you can not use an internal combustion engine, such as parks and nature reserves. Ideal for a period of re-convalescence. To everyone who likes to ride a bicycle it does not diminish the pleasure but it enriches the experience by giving the opportunity to choose a wider range of dynamism, speed as well as increasing the effort (by their own choice and not as it usually is being fundamentally dependent on the impact of external factors). The motor can be operated simultaneously with cyclist or not, giving the possibility of full control of the effort to grow the sport very intensive as well in opposite way when somebody is having(temporarily or permanently) restrictions or limitations due to body stage. Powered electric bicycle, it is a competitive mode of transport in terms of cost, time travel and the environment, especially in large urban areas with significant problems in the traditional movement of vehicles (e.g. automotive).

Installation into the bike

1. 26" front wheel with installed motor

2. Controller

3. Pair of brake levers with cables to controller

4. Thumb throttle with cable to controller.

5. 9Ah (or 12Ah) 48V complete supply unit

6. 48V, 1,8A  battery charger

Used  parts indications:
The designation of components:
- Type the drive consists of four parts such as the Eco Drive Electric bicycle Type: 408F-26 "std-9SLA-B
State first determines the type of engine (such as 406, 408, 4011, 4012 or 406 & 4011, 407 & 4012) and the place of assembly:
      "F"-Front (Front), or "R" - back (Rear).
They can be used in addition, sometimes the mark:
"b" defines the type of controller, and it means that the controller is giving the tension to the motor starting from zero speed i.e. if a bike is stopped and we press the  knob of accelerator, then the wheel immediately starts to rotate, so  the drive is working immediately.
But if there is' a '- this means that installed  drive starts to help the biker after he by pedaling  reached the speed of about 5 km / h.)
In the second part of indications it contains information about the external size of the wheel rim measured in inches and construction of the rim (std-normal height of around 12mm or chamber type with a height of approximately 9mm bigger).
This information is essential to determine the length of spokes with an accuracy of 2mm to allow the client a successful installation of motor to the own bike rim.
In the third part of indication it contains information about the capacity and type of batteries e.g.  9 - means 9Ah/48V and SLA- means that there are lead batteries, when the battery type is Ni-MH then indication is- Ni or when the type of battery is Li FePO4, than the indication is Fe).
Last, the fourth part   determines where the Power source is placed on the bike: (B-on the both sides of rear carrier, NB-on the top of rear carrier, S-under the seat).

Installation into the bike:
- Installation is done by the customer in his own bike on the basis of instructions.
- Installation in already own bike starts from the installation of tube and tire on delivered by Ekoanapedy wheel or from installation of our motor to the rim of customer. An important step is to tight the two nuts with the proper torque on motor axis thread. The right torque is given in the instruction!
- The next step is the installation of the hand brake levers and the accelerator assembly at the steering arms. On the steering column or frame the client should install the controller connected to the motor, the accelerator assembly (with a battery status indicator) and two hand-brake levers. As the last step is the fixation of cabling to the bike frame and batteries installation (under the seat or from both sides of the rear carrier) and proper connection of all elements to the controller.
- The battery set can be easily removed (if necessary) for its charge. You can also charge batteries mounted in the bike. When you charge, the main switch must be in position # 3, i.e. charging.
- For batteries charging the specially designed for this purpose impulse 230V/48V chargers are used with 2 ranges of power from 100W to 300W.
- A detailed description and the guide for installation are   received by client (as well as a warranty) together with purchase documents.

E-bike use-operating properties
   Range
The range depends mainly on the capacity of used batteries (usually we are using rechargeable batteries with a capacity of 9Ah, 12Ah and 15Ah), driving techniques, weight of bike and driver, the type of tire surface finishing, the degree of inflated tires as well as the technical condition of the bicycle, batteries and a road surface. Driving at high speed, and thus - with bigger and more continuous current intake-causing faster depletion of batteries.

Tested bike range (without pedaling-when biker weight is 75kg on a flat asphalt road and the speed around 20km/h) is as follows:
            1. 9Ah battery for about 40 km,
            2. 12Ah battery for about 55 km,
            3. 15Ah battery for about 70 km.
This route is longer when the cyclist applies the  mixed driving technique – i.e. at the same time or alternating pedaling and avoids a long, continuous current consumption from the battery. The range can be increased through the use of higher-capacity battery.
We recommend usage of the bicycle speedometer. This helps to maintain speed on economic as well as better assessment of the distance that remained to be overcome without charging batteries. In the initial phase of the operation of the drive, it is advisable to observe the dynamic current consumption from the battery (by inclusion in the circuit the current meter from 0 to 30A) for the orientation and for a creation of good biker habit of cost-effective self management and energy maximum effective usage.

   Maximal speed
Under above mentioned test conditions, no wind, on a flat asphalt road, a fully inflated tire, while 75kg biker weight. Depending on the type of 550 W motor for the 26 " wheels the maximum speed is up to:
            - 4012 - 22km / h
            - 4011 - 25km / h
            - 408 - 40km / h
            - 406 - 50km / h

   Safety of driving
Given by an electric bike the relatively high speed and easiness to accelerate require from biker the need to pay special attention to the state of the brakes and preserving safe distance to other vehicles while driving. By promoting the need for a gradual lifting of a safety culture of cycling (and particularly on the occasion of the introduction of new dynamic solutions) we recommend the use of bicycle helmets and reflectors clothes.

  The operating costs

Electric bicycle is the most economical vehicle with motor when we consider the cost of energy consumption per 1km of route. On average, the rate is less than 1 cent/km.
